Is your character from this verse? No.
If you answered no, which point did you take them from in the canon verse? Early-mid Deathly Hallows, after Ron has left the questing heroes but before he's returned.

Is your character aged up/down? Technically yes? But from a different universe, so.
If you answered yes, are they from the past or did they just wake up that way? --

P.O. Box Here

personality
when things go wrong we can knock it down

Ron Weasley is just about the best pal you could possibly have. If he wasn't the stupid kind of brave that charges after dumbass wizards wielding death curses or dives into frozen lakes to save his best mate, he'd probably have been pretty suited to Hufflepuff. Ron is loyal to a fault as long as he believes in you, and he believes in Harry at least 80% of the time. He defended Harry when people were accusing him of lying about Voldemort's return, he's gone on ridiculous, deadly adventure after ridiculous, deadly adventure because Harry needs someone to watch his back.

The downside is, as the second to youngest of seven, Ron is prone to jealousy. His greatest desire as a child was to exceed all his brothers' accomplishments; in his own words, "Everyone expects me to do as well as the others, but if I do, it’s no big deal, because they did it first." When he's eleven, the only way he can imagine standing out among that list of expectations is to be Head Boy, and quidditch captain, and singlehandedly win the House Cup for Gryffindor. As he grows, those insecurities remain with him, regularly to his detriment. Standing out in a big family feels impossible: he's the Weasley twins' younger brother, or Harry Potter's stupid friend. Fueling that frustration, anger, jealousy, is the fear that he's not good enough. He'll never be as smart as Bill, or as talented as Charlie, or has hard working as Percy, or as well liked as the twins.

And on top of that, growing up in a family where money has always been a struggle means standing out is just about impossible, especially when all he's got to call his own are things that belonged to his brothers before him.

He's got plenty of flaws, it's true. But they've all shaped him, too: he always loved the Burrow, even though it looked like a clunky jenga tower. He loved his big family, even though it was easy to get lost in the shuffle. He might be afraid of never standing out on his own, of not being good enough to get what he wants, and that might even make him do stupid things - but he always tries to fix his mistakes.

Ron will be coming into the game just after abandoning Hermione and Harry on the horcrux hunt, but he's spent the last few weeks trying desperately to get back to them. He may leave, but he always comes back.

history
my three words have two meanings

HP Wiki Link eyyyyy
Family Molly (Prewett) Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ginny. Then there's the whole future wife, future kiddos, and some distant relationship to the Blacks and, let's be real, all the other old wizarding families.

characters from canon verse: Ron is coming from the Deathly Hallows, after he's been traveling for months with Harry and Hermione and, in a fit of Horcrux-inspired jealousy and anger, abandoned them. He feels extra shitty about this, and desperately wants to get back to them - which makes being stuck in 1980 all the harder for him to deal with. He arrives looking pretty rough, since he's been living pretty rough, trying to avoid snatchers. It's a bad time for him: he hasn't discovered the deluminator's secret ability, and is pretty much just freaking out about how he's really put his foot in it this time. He doesn't know what's up with his family, doesn't know if Harry and Hermione are alive and well, and has no idea if they've found a way to destroy the horcruxes.

The wizarding world itself is pretty fucked, in his memory: You-Know-Who has taken over the ministry through a puppet, Death Eaters are running a muck, and the UK is, in general, a pretty dangerous fucking place. Snatchers are everywhere, avoiding them is rough, and Ron doesn't even know what's going on at Hogwarts now that Dumbledore is dead. He doesn't have much hope for a world that's elected Tom Riddle as Minister for Magic, either. That's going to be one of the hardest parts for Ron: would anything he does here affect home? Can he allow the people from this time, this universe, to just get on with their lives as if there's nothing to fear from their Minister?

There is a lot to contend with here, and Ron is not excited about any of it.

At the start of the game he'll have been around for a few days, maybe a week. He's getting by the same way he's been getting by on his own avoiding the snatchers which is probably just stealing from muggles and obliviating them or something, who knows. Soon enough, when he sheds the sense that EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE AND THIS IS DIRE STRAITS AND OHHHH GODDDDDDD, he'll look at getting a job or returning to Hogwarts or something. Gotta live your life somehow, right?

abilities
there's one thing on my mind

  • Ron is fuckin great at wizard chess, don't even get in his way cause he'll fuck you up proper with just a knight and a rook.

  • Having seen his fair share of battles so far, Ron is a pretty solid bloke to have around when it comes to fighting it out. Hey he's survived so far, he can't be terrible.

  • Dumbleore's Army has made him a pretty competent wizard in regards to defense against the dark arts. He even managed an Exceeds Expectations on his O.W.L.s, so thank god for You-Know-Who trying to kill his best friend all the time, right....he's been hanging around Hermione too much.

  • He's also a solid hand at charms, potions, transifguration, and herbology

  • He may not have managed an apparating license in his sixth year, but whatever he can do it. And splinching isn't that bad....

  • Fuck divination. Wiki says he made two accurate predictions but fuck diviniation.

  • Ron is not a bad flier, having grown up in a family that liked a pick up game in the summers. He's a solid keeper, but could be pretty inconsistent about it because hah, self-confidence.

  • There's this idea that we learn from our friends to the extent that we will rise tot he level of higher achieving friends, or drop with underachievers. Ron has definitely risen with Harry and Hermione: the older he gets, the more capable he's shown himself. He manages to surprise even his closest friends when he has great ideas, or in his abilities. He's heard Harry speak Parseltongue enough that he was able to imitate it, and has even had a brilliant moment here or there. He doesn't let it get to his head. ("Don't let it worry you, it's me, I'm extremely famous.")

  • All in all, Ron is a solid dude to have around, and a good person to have at your back for like seven years straight helping you survive some crazy shit.
